Bio
Hi! I'm a second-year PhD student in Computer Science and Engineering at Santa Clara University, working under the guidance of Professor Yi Fang.
Prior to joining SCU, I completed my undergraduate degree in Physics at the University of California, Davis. I'm currently on track to graduate in 2028.
Research
My research focus is on the potential and challenges of leveraging LLMs for Information Retrieval, particularly in retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and synthetic training data generation for IR systems.
News 🎉🎉
- Full paper "W-RAG: Weakly Supervised Dense Retrieval in RAG for Open-domain Question Answering" was recently accepted to SIGIR ICTIR 2025 .
- Full paper "ELOQ: Resources for Enhancing LLM Detection of Out-of-Scope Questions" was recently accepted to SIGIR 2025 Resource & Reproducibility Track.
